Daiwa House Group

VISION

Our Global Vision for the Future

Contributing to economic development in regions around the world
Bringing our Endless Heart to people everywhere

Having taken its first steps in the 1960s, Daiwa House Group’s overseas business has since the 2010s to the present been on a sustained and steady expansion, aiming to achieve net sales of 1 trillion yen in FY2026. To be a driver of the Group’s growth and progress, we are committed to the pursuit of business under the policy of “Stay & Expand,” which is based on the Group’s basic stance of “Creating Dreams, Building Hearts.”
We owe this continued business growth in Japan to our customers, so many of whom have recognized that we inherited our founder’s desire to “provide society with businesses that benefit the world” and that we relentlessly tackle the challenge of enriching the lives of people in close-knit communities. This all comes down to our high-quality housing products and world-class construction techniques, although bringing the same housing products and services to regions and countries that have different languages and cultures than that of Japan is a formidable undertaking. Stepping into the shoes of someone in such a different market, we would similarly fail to find appealing a company that imposes its own norms on us, and in fact, it would be alarming. Rather, the first thing to do is to take root and become accepted in the area, then aim to be a “community-based overseas business” that develops a local community from the same perspective as its inhabitants. This is the very essence of “Stay & Expand.”

By 7th MediumTerm Management Plan (May 2022)

Presently, we are building our business in 25 countries and regions, from Asia to Europe and Africa, Central and South America. We build houses in housing development projects, rental housing and condominiums in Australia, Southeast Asia, China, and other areas, and logistics warehouses, factory construction, and industrial parks in ASEAN. We are also engaged in diverse domains, with business areas including ODA and other construction projects. However, Daiwa House Group is not on its own in such business activities, but is also supported by the cooperation of richly experienced Group companies and companies with proven track records in and outside of Japan.
Companies with an affinity to local history, culture and customs, and that have a good understanding of the people who live there, can provide housing and related services with a higher degree of customer satisfaction in the housing-related business. In projects involving business facilities, such as industrial park development, it is essential to gain trust as a reliable corporate partner with a thorough understanding of business practices, local issues, and support for business activities. We “deepen” our business based on close ties to communities, and keep a constant eye on customers’ perspectives to respond to the needs of each region with the Group’s comprehensive capabilities. Beyond endeavoring to engage in initiatives with a sense of humility, it is our belief that the numerical goals we have set forth for ourselves are attainable.

By 7th MediumTerm Management Plan (May 2022)

We have the dream of “becoming a 10 trillion yen-company in 2055, the centennial anniversary of our founding.” Under the 7th Medium-Term Management Plan, we intend to supply quality housing to 80 thousand or more households over a five year-period, and to develop business with our sights set on the construction of a global supply chain. The issue we face in achieving the Plan stably and steadily is the nurturing of “human capital.” This means people who possess a proactive attitude to learning about the world and global markets, and who will seize upon business opportunities. These will be people who have the intellectual curiosity to think about things from the customers’ perspective, and who keep culture, history, and even people’s sensibilities close to heart. They will have empathy, giving them a deep understanding of the individuality and customs of communities and people. Our business will serve to nurture their personal growth, and in turn, they will be the ones who grow our business. A company that has such reciprocity between its human talent and business operations, and that can be a bridge for people and businesses around the world, will certainly be looked upon favorably by its stakeholders. To be a company that is cherished by both our customers and those employees who serve with us everywhere we conduct business is the ideal we strive to achieve.
We believe that “joy” can be created and shared by a multitude of people. By uniting our strengths as “a group that co-creates value for individuals, communities, and people’s lifestyles” to envision such a future together with you, no matter where in the world you are, we will work to bring you our Endless Heart.
