Open innovation × problem solving

No-one can know when or where they may be faced with unforeseeable dangers caused by climate change or other natural disasters.
We have built facilities that can provide all visitors with a reassuringly safe and natural environment.

The Triada Munakata Mall, which opened in late June 2022, is a multi-purpose commercial facility that has enabled a number of existing retail outlets to be rebuilt without closing down temporarily. In the event of a natural disaster, the facility offers local residents eight disaster-amelioration features that will let them do their shopping and use fitness gyms in safety. These include emergency-use "manhole" toilets, emergency parking space where people can stay overnight in their own cars, and warehouses for stockpiling emergency-use foodstuffs and other vital goods.

  • 9×3×22

Emergency power sources at the Triada Munakata include a storage battery system capable of charging 100 smart phones and continuously* powering 40 LED lights for up to 100 hours (about four days). In the event of a natural disaster, we envisage opening up the facility to displaced members of the local population for mobile phone recharging. The management of the facility have signed an agreement with the City of Munakata, under which it is recognized as an official emergency evacuation site. In these ways, we are helping support the daily lives of people in the region.

Bringing to bear a range of construction technologies, our new creations will be a global standard of IT infrastructure

Open innovation × problem solving

For people around the world, everyday life is changing at a breathtaking pace, and that makes digital infrastructure indispensable to sustaining all of our daily lives and business activities, not to mention our peace of mind. We address global needs with the entire range of technologies at our disposal for a future in which everyone can enjoy life to the fullest.

Project Key Data

  • 1.0/3.6

The Daiwa House Group, which has been developing commercial facilities since its founding, has developed and constructed more than 330 logistics centers, and is even today engaged in operations at a number of facilities. Now, based on the technologies and expertise cultivated through logistics brands such as D Project and DPL, we have launched the new DProject Data Center (DPDC) brand. In this way we are supporting the digitalization of society and industry, as well as the bonds that bring together a wide range of people and goods around the world.

DPDC Inzai Park, which we plan to construct as a data center comprised of 14 buildings on a total site area of approximately 270,000㎡, will newly supply approximately 600 MW of electricity with an adjacent transformer substation. Proper management of confidential and personal information held by governments, municipalities, and businesses is one of the needs a data center is expected to satisfy. The Daiwa House Group will fulfill its corporate responsibility to support a safe and secure society by meeting these needs through the development of its DPDC business.

  • 30

The growing need for data centers in Japan has informed our decision to further accelerate expansion in our domestic DPDC business. With plans to make investments at roughly the \100 billion level by 2025, suburban-type data centers like DPDC Inzai Park developed in urban areas will offer greater convenience. Keeping an eye to the future, we are examining a range of possibilities, such as development in Japan’s regional areas with the aim of contributing to local revitalization. Together with data center operators in Japan and abroad, we are working to realize a recycling-oriented society where there is peace of mind and happiness for people, communities, and lifestyles.
