The development of SECUREA Toyota Kakimoto in Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture, has been completed. SECUREA Toyota Kakimoto is a town with 21 single-family, energy self-sufficient houses, where electricity is interchanged between the houses.

Community Development with 100% Renewable Energy

For the first time in Japan, we have created a community where 100 percent of the electric power used -- in everything from the original construction to the residents' daily lives -- comes from renewable energy sources.

The development of SECUREA Toyota Kakimoto in Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture, has been completed. SECUREA Toyota Kakimoto is a town with 21 single-family, energy self-sufficient houses, where electricity is interchanged between the houses.

A large-scale smart town where profits from selling electricity generated by the solar power generation facility of the town are used for the maintenance of single-family houses and other purposes, the first of its kind in Japan

This project aims to bequeath to future generations not only sakura (cherry trees) but also the “wa” (harmony) that is so cherished in Japan, primarily through the Yoshinoyama sakura conservation work.
