Royal Home Center Minamisenju

In the 1970s, home center retailing arrived in Japan selling products for weekend carpenters or do-it-yourselfers, housing maintenance and improvements as well as color coordinating that was attracting attention in the United States.
Because Daiwa House Industry Co., Ltd was promoting comprehensive consumer goods industries that were proposing real affluence in various fields of day-to-day life and society, we entered the home center business. In Nara Prefecture, we opened our first home center, Lumber Nara Store (current Royal Home Center Nara); it was a first for the prefecture.
